Valparaiso 1

Valparaiso - roughly Paradise Valley, though it lies between mountains and the sea, not two mountains - is the main port city of Chile. The downtown square has a building housing the rather ominously named "Armada de Chile".

A hotel named after Queen Victoria.

And a monument to a Chilean hero, Arturo Prat (best known for his role in defeating Peru in the late 19th century), guarded by a member of the armada.
